Mr Adel al-Jubeir,

Ladies and gentlemen,

We are happy to welcome you here in Moscow. Our bilateral relations have intensified lately; we attach particular importance to the visit by Deputy Crown Prince, Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud to the Russian Federation and his talks with President Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg. The agreements reached have opened the way for closer cooperation in many different areas, including our bilateral issues and cooperation in various regional and international affairs.

Last week in Doha, you and I spoke about problems in the Middle East, continuing the discussion that President Vladimir Putin and Mohammad bin Salman had in St Petersburg. I am glad to have this opportunity to discuss the situations in various parts of the Middle East and North Africa in more detail.

I expect our talks to be fruitful. Thank you for accepting our invitation to visit Moscow, and welcome again.
