Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks during talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mali Tiebile Drame, Moscow, June 10, 2019
Mr Minister, colleagues,
We are pleased to welcome you to Moscow. We note with satisfaction the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Mali. Next year, we will be marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Over these decades, we have gained extensive positive experience, which we have agreed to actively use to promote cooperation in various areas on a mutually beneficial basis in the modern era. Today, I look forward to discussing in detail all areas of bilateral relations - political, economic, trade, cultural and defence - and issues that concern your country and our country in the international arena, primarily, in Africa.
We are glad to see you.
