Awarding Salam Twal The Order of Friendship

On December 10, 2017 the head of the Jordanian Club of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities “Ibn Sina” Salam Twal was awarded the Order of Friendship at Al-Hussein Cultural Center in Amman.

The solemn event was attended by Minister of Municipal Affairs Walid MasriAmman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, representatives of NGOs and Russian compatriots.

While presenting their speeches Minister Masri, Mayor Shawarbeh, Chairman of the Bar Association of Jordan M. Rashidat and other speakers emphasized the friendly nature of Russian-Jordanian relations and their successful development in various fields.

These and other speakers highly appreciated indispensable role of Russia in repelling terrorist groups and pursuing political settlement in Syria, Moscow's stance on other regional conflicts including the Palestinian-Israeli settlement and Jerusalem issue.

H.E. Ambassador of Russia in Jordan Boris Bolotin decorated Salam Twal with the Order and noted in his speech that awarding mister Twal the Order of Friendship should be considered not only as recognition of his personal merit in strengthening the fruitful bilateral cooperation between Russia and Jordan, but also as a tribute to the Jordanian NGOs that working on promotion of friendly relations between our countries and nations and primarily the Jordanian Club of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities “Ibn Sina”, Jordanian Russian Friendship Society and Jordanian Society of Russian Speaking Doctors.
