Press release on First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov’s consultations with Switzerland’s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs State Secretary Pascale Baeriswyl
On May 28, First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov’s consultations with State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Pascale Baeriswyl were held in Moscow in the format of coordinators of Russian-Swiss cooperation.
The officials discussed in detail the entire range of bilateral relations, including the schedule of upcoming political contacts and primary results of the planned consultations between the foreign ministries in 2018.
There was also an in-depth discussion of current issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine, Syria and the Korean Peninsula as well as the developments related to implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear programme.
In accordance with the agreement between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 2007, meetings in the format of coordinators take place regularly at least once a year in Russia and Switzerland by turns.
