We have taken note of the alarming aggravation in Brazil following a vote by Brazil’s Lower House of Congress to impeach President Dilma Rousseff.

Russia and Brazil are linked by relations of strategic partnership and many years of successful interaction in various international formats such as the UN, the G20 and BRICS.

We express hope that the problems that can arise at this difficult political period for our partner will be settled within the constitutional legal framework and without any external interference.
