Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov’s meeting with Ghana’s newly appointed ambassador to Russia Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware

On November 9, Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, received Ghana’s recently sworn-in ambassador to Russia Dr Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware who presented him with a copy of her letter of credence.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions on the prospects for the further development of friendly Russia-Ghana relations. Mr Bogdanov and Dr Opoku Ware stressed the objective prerequisites for a more extensive political dialogue between Moscow and Accra on current international and African issues, as well as the significant potential for expanding relations in trade and the economy, military, technical, humanitarian, cultural and other areas.
