Visa-free entrance for FAN ID holders till the end of 2018

On August 3, President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing 2018 World Cup Fan ID holders to enter and exit Russia without a visa through December 31, 2018, requiring only proper identification and Fan IDs. The law will take effect on August 14, 2018.

On Amending Article 7 of the Federal Law On Organising and Hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in the Russian Federation, and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation

To amend Article 7 of Federal Law No. 108-FZ, On Organising and Hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in the Russian Federation, and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation, dated June 7, 2013 (Collected Laws of the Russian Federation, 2013, No. 23, Article 2866; 2016, No. 27, Article 4199; 2017, No. 18, Article 2661; 2018, No. 11, Article 1578) by adding Part 6' as follows:

“6'. During the period through December 31, 2018, foreign nationals and stateless persons specified in Part 6 of this Article who attended matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup as spectators may enter and exit the Russian Federation without visas, based on valid identification recognised by the Russian Federation and their personalised spectator cards obtained before or during the sports competition.”
