Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Denisov Meets with International Finance Corporation Vice President Jyrki Koskelo
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Denisov on December 7 held a meeting with Jyrki Koskelo, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Europe, Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Global Financial Markets.
During the conversation Russian cooperation with the IFC at this stage was discussed, with emphasis on the Corporation's efforts to help diversify the Russian economy, attract investment into the real sector and improve the efficiency and reliability of the banking system.
The sides voiced satisfaction with the constructive nature of relations between the IFC and the Russian Federation and expressed the hope for their further strengthening and development.
The Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, is one of the largest investors in the private sector of the Russian economy with a total capital investment of over 2.2 billion dollars.
