Press release on the results of a special meeting of the BSEC Council of Foreign Ministers
On May 21, the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Council of Foreign Ministers convened in Istanbul for a special meeting under Turkey’s chairmanship. The meeting concluded preparations for the BSEC 25th Anniversary Summit, which will be held on May 22.
Meeting participants coordinated a draft final declaration, which the BSEC heads of state and government will adopt at their summit. The declaration covers issues pertaining to the further development of multilateral economic cooperation between the Black Sea countries and its practical results, as well as the organisation’s future priorities.
The Russian delegation at the meeting of the BSEC Council of Foreign Ministers was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya.
Other participants included foreign ministers or their deputies from Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as representatives from BSEC observer countries and sectoral dialogue partners.
