Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev
The heads of state discussed the preparation of the forthcoming summits of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation and the Commonwealth of Independent States, including in light of events that occurred in South Ossetia. Both sides expressed their desire to discuss this situation in a multilateral format and develop harmonious positions.
The conversation was initiated by Kazakhstan.
