Statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the need for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict zone in the South-East of Ukraine
As we enter the final stage of the multipronged effort to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of South-East of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges both sides to agree to an immediate ceasefire.
To ensure the safety of the humanitarian mission, and in light of the difficult situation in the South-East of Ukraine, a ceasefire is needed.
At this critical juncture, we urge both sides to show the necessary political will to alleviate the plight of residents of the affected region.
